Kaaren May (President)

Dr. Kaaren May has 20+ years of experience helping companies in the UK and North America launch innovative data/video analytics products. She's worked across diverse industries like healthcare, security, cleantech, higher education, and broadcast media production. As a strategy consultant (e.g., at L.E.K. Consulting), she has assisted a range of clients, from startups to private equity firms and government. Kaaren has an MBA from INSEAD and a PhD in Signal Processing (Electrical Engineering) from Imperial College London, both top 10 in global rankings of schools.


Expertise includes industry and competitive analysis, market research, data analysis, product development and management, project management, funding applications, and B2B business development.

Doug May (Vice President)

Dr. Doug May founded MayMetrics Analysis in 2005 to provide data-driven solutions for economic and social challenges. He is an economics professor and a consultant with over 40 years of experience in teaching, research, and policy analysis. He is an expert in various fields, such as well-being, poverty, inequality, regional development, tax policy, productivity, and labour market issues. He has published in leading journals and worked with the Newfoundland and Labrador provincial government on developing the Community Accounts. He is also a member of several national and regional associations and committees.
